Living Word Early Childhood Center Needs Your Time and Talents! 
The ECC Board is actively looking for new members who want to be a part of a fun and rewarding ministry centered on children. ECC?s first two years in the our new facility has been a great success - and we need dedicated board members ready to build on that momentum to make the 2010 – 2011 school year our best yet! 

What Potential Board Members Need to Know 
* We need a Chairperson! The Chair works closely with the Director of ECC as well as the Children’s Ministry Director. This person also needs to be a Living Word Church Member. 
* We need a Vice Chairperson! The Vice Chair assists the Board Chair..... Our by- laws require that our Vice Chairperson must be a Living Word church member. 
* Other positions will assist in fundraising, outreach, staff appreciation, and special events, such as our Breakfast with Santa and Trivia Night. Most of our positions do not require you to be a church member, just happy to help out! 
* Board member terms last two years.

ECC Bulletin Board
Volunteer to assist with an art project in your child’s classroom and help create the monthly bulletin board for the ECC!

We are looking for volunteers from each class to sign up by month to create a bulletin board that will be displayed in the ECC entrance. We will supply the materials and come up with a theme where the children create an art project, which is then made into the bulletin board. You do not need to be crafty or creative to assist, just willing to help the little ones complete the project!

For example, our December bulletin board will be a choir of angels. We will cut out individual angels that the children will decorate in their class during art time. We will then take the angels and make them into an ECC wide bulletin board. The theme will change monthly, but the concept of having the children “create” the BB will stay the same.

In order to have the BB displayed for the entire month, we will start the art projects in the classrooms 2 weeks prior to month end. So we will start making December’s board the week of November 16!

Trivia Night
Silent Auction Classroom Basket Coordinator
On April 10, 2010 the ECC hosts our biggest fundraiser of the school year—Trivia Night! We ask each classroom to donate a basket for the silent auction and would like a point person from each class to coordinate this effort.

We will assign your class a theme (and give you plenty of ideas for items to go into your basket, if needed). The Classroom Basket Coordinator will collect items and/or monetary donations for the basket.

Other Ways to Help with Trivia Night

• Table packet assembly (1 person): compile packets for all trivia night tables (pencils, rules, answer sheets, etc) approximately 1-2 weeks prior to trivia night.
• Check-in table (2 people): check people in on a provided list as they arrive for trivia night and give them their assigned table number.
• Take-down: assist the board at the end of trivia night by clearing the tables from Celebration Hall, arranging the chairs for Sunday morning service, and putting tables and chairs back together in Fellowship Hall.
